We are happy to hear you're on the road to recovery. Having recently torn a quad myself, I understand that a positive mindset is crucial to expedite the healing process. Your positive attitude will enable you to come back faster. We're all looking forward to seeing you back on the platform ASAP.

We'll conitnue to pray for you and send positive vibes your way.

I'm glad to hear Joe is recovering, but he don't qualify for the Metallic Nationals becuase wire doesn't count as "parts".

I don't have that many metal parts, it only seems that way because one of the parts had to be put in twice.

Stan Chattis is definately qualified and I hope to see him lifting in Miami at the Masters Nationals.

I won't be ready to lift for a while, but I will be there judging for a few days.

With Jeff's metal knees, my metal knees, and Al's Segal's metal everthing we may have to create a new contest - the Metallic Nationals. :D

Seriously, Jeff, glad to hear you are doing well. Wishing you a speedy recovery

Both patellar tendons were torn clean and straight, they did not shred like the doctor originally thought.
The doctor sewed them together with a titanium cable and three screws. He said I will have 100% recovery as long as I stick with the therapy and do things according to plan. Thank you to everyone for the cards and well wishes, and prayers. I truly believe that's what helped me get through 5 weeks in the hospital, with 18 days flat on my back. A special thank you to those people that helped get me off the platform, you did a great job and you should be proud of your actions.
Thanks
Jeff

Brad,

Congratulations to Jeff on his rehab and recovery!! Amazing what surgeons are able to do for athletes. Thanks for keeping us informed on his progress.

By the way, what was the final injury diagnosis? Torn patellar ligaments, quad tendon tears, fractured patellas? There were a couple of different postings, with a variety of injury reports. Can we get it straight from Jeff?

Jeff Lewis update

I got an update from Jeff Lewis. He says thanks for the fund raiser and the money is being put to good use with medical bills starting to roll in. He is walking 1000 ft a day and has gotten his knees to bend to a 30 degree angle.

He ended the note with the message 'Ill be back'
